Measuring with circles

We have been measuring areas and perimeters of rectangles and triangles and now we are looking at circles.

Do you know how to calculate the circumference of a circle if you only know the diameter?












Multiply the diameter by a bit more than 3 (3.14). The circumference is just over 3 times the diameter.

We have been following the Olympics in London, the highs and the lows. Next week we are delighted to have former Olympian, Mark Brownlee, visiting. (Wednesday 15th 9.00 a.m.)

Christ Church Cathedral

What do you think should happen to our cathedral? There has been a lot of debate about saving it, strengthening it, demolishing it, using it as a memorial, rebuilding a newer, safer cathedral, or combining new and old.
